It's late and there's no where to go but the Inn. Rena talks with her Aunt Rachel who runs the Inn and jokes with her about Claude. She escorts the two to a room and in the morning you regain control of Claude. First things first, head to the Weapon Shop and upgrade what equipment you can then head over to the Skill Guild and buy all three skills.

Now that you are upgraded and more prepared, time to head to Krosse Castle that is located on the north side of town. Upon entering, Rena puts the two on the waiting list for an audience with the King, till then time to explore.
Take the stairs down to the basement and enter the Armory. There are two chests here containing a WOODEN SHIELD and a LEATHER HELMET. Return to the first floor and head up the stairs on the left, take the hallway to another set of stairs and exit on the 3rd Floor. The first room on the left has a chest with 500 FOL in it, speak with the servant here. Enter the room on the right and speak with the people here for more information, and lastly speak with the two ladies outside of the Prince's Chambers. Return to the front desk to discover it's Claude and Rena's turn, so head up into the Throne Room.
Talk to the King of Krosse about all 3 choices. In the end he will give the group 600 FOL and a TRAVEL PERMIT then suggests heading to the Port of Kurik. As you return to the town square a man and woman are fighting over what appears to be a map, Claude interjects but the lady can handle herself. She gets to the point, she has a treasure map of a cave and wants Claude to go, humbly accept with the answer "All right, let's go." She introduces herself at last as Celine and Claude acquires the TREASURE MAP. Head east until you come across Krosse Cave.
IMPORTANT NOTE
There is a Private Action here that is required to see if you are to recruit Opera and Ernest later in the game. This guide will cover it in an optional section later. The end of section 03.09.03 will go over what you need to do.
