NOTE
It's recommended but not required to start off with the Nimble Fingers talent so that you can be a master at Pickpocketing. It's one of the harder talents to learn and Pickpocketing is very beneficial especially during the earlier parts of the game where you can miss some things. To check and see if you have this talent, open the menu -> Skills -> Learn Skills, then hit Triangle twice. If Nimble Fingers is not listed than you can always restart and check again when you first gain control of Rena.
After the opening FMV and scene you gain control of Rena. Start off by going up and opening the chests to obtain RESURRECTION ELIXIR, LEATHER ARMOR, and 200 FOL. Enter the building on the right and open the chest for STRAWBERRY JAM. Leave this house and go into Rena's house. Upstairs in her room is a chest containing BLACKBERRIES. Move to the west side of town and enter the first house on the left and go upstairs to find two more chests containing ROSE HIP and BLUEBERRIES.
When you are done collecting items leave town via the south exit to enter the Sacred Forest.
