When you enter town an event occurs with Precis. At this time it is possible to recruit this character. To do so simply re-enter Linga in Private Action and talk to Precis. After a conversation she will ask to join and then team up with Rena when she leaves the village. Keep in mind that recruiting Precis means you cannot recruit Bowman.

Head up to the next area and enter the house on the right then speak with Bowman. He can help but only if you go to Linga's Sacred Grounds and bring back a new species of herb. When ready exit Linga and follow the path to the Sacred Grounds of Linga.
