The key card unlocks the door, so let's get started. Take a right and open the chest for FRUIT SYRUP. Head back to the left making sure to grab the ?MINERAL/DAMASCUS from the chest down the right path. The path branches but you want to go left for the ENCYCLOPEDIA in the chest. Ride the left wall up to another chest for REFRESHING SYRUP and exit at the top. Get the SMELLING SALTS from the chest then go up a little ways and open the chest for MITHRIL MESH. Head to the right of this chest to find another with a MEDICINE BOTTLE and one more in the top right for SMITH'S HAMMER. Backtrack to the last room then all the way to the bottom of the screen. Take the path to the right all the way up and open the chests to acquire METEORITE and WONDER DRUG.
Continue right and open the chest for LIGHTNING GUN. Proceed up into the next area and navigate to the top left corner. Use the save point and approach the Barchian when ready.

The boss remains completely stationary for the fights entirety. He builds up to around 10,000 damage and then uses Pain Release. It basically spreads out the damage you did to him amongst your characters. Mind you it cannot do this while stunned so use specials to keep it stunned or if you have some of the upper tier weapons like Aeterna or Mephistofar just repeatedly beat it to keep it stunned.
The fights conclusion results in you acquiring the LEA METAL. Since the Barchian is defeated there are no more random battles. Proceed to the last area and head down until you have the option to go right. The chests in this path contain ILLUSION DOLL and ATHELAS. Return to Dr. Mirage in Armlock at this time. Talk with Dr. Mirage and obtain the N.P.I.D. then make the journey to Fun City by heading north of Armlock.
